Our last day on the Coast

Wednesday Day 4 was left open to do whatever. We decided to be tourists and hit all the gift stores on main street. Who would have quessed that Wednesday is the day they decide to be closed. There were a few that were open, so we did get to do a little bet of browsing. On Monday, Tori had found a purse at the Coach outlet store that was 40% off the markdown price, so she had be trying to decide to get it or not. She wanted to go back and look at it, so we back to the Outlet mall, hit a few stores that we didn't go to the first time. She did finally talk herself into spending her hard earned money for this purse.
See how excited she is? I told her when she's tired of it I get to use it.

For some reason the girls were really tired, so after we got back from shopping they both fell asleep. I noticed that the Kite surfers were down on the water, so I took my camera down to the beach and took a 'bazillian' pictures. By the time I left the beach there were 6 of them. They were so fun to watch. It also looked like it would have been fun to do. I expect that it takes a strong upper body to hang onto those kites.

After I got back, we decide to go to dinner. I was with two people that don't like seafood, but I told them that one night we were going out for seafood. I found a place called "Roadhouse 101" that looked like they had good food. We piled into the car and headed down the road to find the restaurant. It looked kind of like a dive bar from the outside but we ventured in anyways. Man, am I glad we did. The servers were friendly and funny. Our table was by the crab tank, but when we first sat down the tank was empty except for one lobster. It was interesting, since they didn't have lobster on the menu. We ordered and while we were waiting for our food, the boys came in caring coolers and proceeded to fill the crab tank with some of the biggest crabs I have every seen. They had just gotten them of the boat in Newport. The person putting the crabs in the tank, noticed the girls watching, so he came running over to our table with a crab in his hand causing the girls to squeal. He plopped that crab down on our table and walked away. You should have seen the looks on their faces and quess what....... I left my camera at the house. They unloaded 4 coolers of crabs and were very entertaining in the process. We did find out that the lobster was the mascot (pet). He was not very happy that his space was being invaded. He liked the corner and kept trying to push the crabs out of the corner. It was sooooo funny to watch him. The food was good and after we finished eating the girls wanted to put a dollar on the ceiling. They ceiling had dollar bills tacked on it with peoples names. So the waiter brought them a marker and they put our names on it. The waiter then proceed to put a tack though the dollar, he put a quarter on the tack and folded in the edges, grabbed the edges and flipped the dollar toward the ceiling where it stuck. I was very impressed. After it sticks, it unfolds and the quarter falls out. So if you are ever there, look for our dollar.

The girls enjoyed the hot tub that we had on our deck every night, so I had to get at least one picture of them in it.

That was our last day, the next day we packed up, cleaned up, gassed up and headed to Baker City to help Granny and Pappa shave ice at the Miners Jubilee Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We did get to go to the Bronc and Bull riding which was really fun. On Sunday we helped them pack up the shack and headed home... finally. We were very glad to get home to our own beds. But we sure had a lot of fun.
