Schools and beaches

Image
Tori and I made our trip to Oregon to look at schools. We drove to Eugene on Saturday, and it was a long and uneventful drive (thank goodness). We checked into our hotel around 4:00pm. We had driven around University of Oregon a little bit before we found out hotel. We decided to find the mall and do some shopping. It felt soooo good to walk around after sitting in the car for 6 hours. Believe it or not... we found a prom dress and at a reasonable rate. Tori was so excited. On Sunday we headed to Coos Bay to find Southwestern Oregon Community College. It was about a two hour drive. The weather was rainy when we left Eugene and it was one of those days when the sun would shine for 10 - 15 minutes, then it would rain. SWOCC is very small and since it was their spring break - very quiet. This is a picture of the quad - it was very pretty. Everything is very green and spring is starting to blossum. They have their own little lake with a dock. This is looking back at the campus from the d

Road trip

Well, it looks like T and I are going on a road trip. We are going to make a fast and furious trip to Coos Bay and Eugene to look at colleges. We are going to leave Saturday morning and drive 11 hour (ugh) to Coos Bay to look at Southwestern Oregon CC. I think we'll spend the night in Coos Bay, then on Sunday drive to Eugene, take a look at UO. We'll stay over another night in Eugene. I heard that there's a big outlet mall there.... We'll drive home on Monday. Sooooo, if this sounds like fun to anyone and you think you might want to get away for a couple days, just let me know. You're welcome to come with us, we would love the company. :)

Spring fever

Well, without basketball or soccer it pretty quiet around the Lewis house. I now have to get some of the projects done at home that I've been ignoring.... dang... This last week was fiscal year end, so we were very busy at work trying to get everything done. I put in about 50 hours, so needless to say I didn't do much in the evenings. So I needed to make up for it this weekend. I spend the weekend cleaning out and organizing closets and cupboards. I didn't plan to do more than the hall closed but it looked so good when I was done that I had to do the cupboard in the kitchen, but that kept leading to the next cupboard and the next. It is amazing how much 'junk' we collect. I am a "throwin' out fool". I'm very tired of the clutter. I have to admit they look good. Maybe it's a case of spring fever..........

Thank God for insurance

Told Tori today she is not allowed to get sick anymore.... hahaha... The medical bill from her issue was almost $850 for the ultra sounds, and $350 for the doctor and the lab work. Got the insurance statement today and we only have to pay $275 of the ultra sound and $135 of the doctor bill (which goes to the deductible). Yahoo.............
