Memorial Weekend

Image
Memorial weekend came and went without much fanfare. I spend Saturday working on my flower beds, planting flowers. Trying to make my yard look nice, not sure I'm succeeding but I'm trying. Later in the day we had a soccer game, which we won. It was scary for a while but we are still undefeated. It has really been a lot of fun playing with the 'kids'. There all very good about tolerating the old lady. Mom, Dad, Skyler and Jessie were in Sumpter for the weekend shaving ice. Steve & Shawna were planning on driving up on Sunday for the day, so I decide to tag along. When the sun came out it was a nice day, but it would cloud up and RAIN HARD. We were able to wander around and look at what the vendors have to offer during one of the breaks in the clouds. Sky and Jessie had Avery with them. She was all bundled up but was a very good girl. Look at how cute she is>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> We went down and walked aroun

Barbeque at Rocco's

Image
Gerry was in town this week. Rocco and Audrey invited us out to their house for dinner. Rocco BBQ'd hamburgers, so I guess we can say that we had our first barbeque of the season. Here is Dana and Gerry enjoying the good food. It was very nice to see everyone. The kids are getting so big. Mario is quite the character, looks a lot like Rocco. Lauren is a cutie. I didn't get a picture baby Antonio because I was too busy holding him. I also missed getting Rocco & Audrey's picture. That was very sly of them. Lexie and Dustin were there, so we got caught up on their house remodeling/honeymoon and other events in their lives. Since we didn't make it to their wedding, it was really good to see them. We had a nice visit with Gerry, she looks really good. The evening was too short but it was wonderful to get to spend time with everyone. Everybody is always so busy that it's hard to get together.

Race for the Cure

Salena invited everyone to join her team "Pretty Pink Pansies" for the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure today. So Tori and I joined Shawna, Salena and Jessie for the Race today. We had a great time. The start of the race was at SUPERVALU Home office. Tori and I had Dana drop us off at my work and we walked over to the Main building. They had a bunch of vendors set up in the parking lot, so we wandered around and got pink cloth groceries bag, pink bandanas and tatoos on our faces. They are saying that there was almost 14,000 people participating in the race this year. This is a look at the crowd at the start line. Here we are waiting for the start of the race. It was a beautiful day, sun and a light breeze. Jessie brought Avery and Salena had Bentley. As you can see Avery is already to go...... Bentley wasn't all that excited, she wanted to take a nap, which is what she did right after the race started. Salena walked the race carrying Bentley. Finally the race started and i
