Race for the Cure

Salena invited everyone to join her team "Pretty Pink Pansies" for the Susan G Komen Race for the Cure today. So Tori and I joined Shawna, Salena and Jessie for the Race today. We had a great time. The start of the race was at SUPERVALU Home office. Tori and I had Dana drop us off at my work and we walked over to the Main building. They had a bunch of vendors set up in the parking lot, so we wandered around and got pink cloth groceries bag, pink bandanas and tatoos on our faces. They are saying that there was almost 14,000 people participating in the race this year. This is a look at the crowd at the start line.

Here we are waiting for the start of the race. It was a beautiful day, sun and a light breeze.

Jessie brought Avery and Salena had Bentley. As you can see Avery is already to go......

Bentley wasn't all that excited, she wanted to take a nap, which is what she did right after the race started. Salena walked the race carrying Bentley.

Finally the race started and it probably took us 5 minutes to start walking after they started the race. Here we are on the our way.

Tori and Jessie headed off at a much faster pace than the rest of us. Tori was pointing out the gaps and Jessie was pushing the stroller and away they went......We didn't see them again until the end of the race. Here is a look at the crowd of people in front of us.After the race we meet Steve and Skyler at IHOP for breakfast (actually it was lunch time). It was a blast, however we did miss Sharlene who was Shaving Ice at the soccer tournament. We have already started talking about the Women's Fitness Challenge in Sept. Place to join our team for that event.
