Oregon Coast Vacation Day 1 & 2

Last week was vacation week for the girls. The boys opted not to come, their loss. Tori invited her friend Kelcy to join us, so it was just us three girls. We left on Sunday July 13th and went as far as Cascade Locks. It is really just a turn out in road along the Columbia river.

We wanted to ride the Sternwheeler but we missed the tour ride and the dinner cuise was a little out of our price range -$68.00 a person.

The girls made a new friend. He was trapped in this little pond of water. We tried to find a fisherman with a net that could set him free but we couldn't find one. They named him "Phillip" with an "F" - Fillip.

The next morning we headed down the road to Multnomah Falls. I have alway driven by these falls, but have never taken the time to stop. They were really beautiful. We didn't realize we were both wearing pink until we too this picture. After hiking to the bridge and enjoying the gift shop we got back in the car and headed for Lincoln City. I only had one panic attack along the way. The google map wasn't exactly perfect and we finally came upon some signs that indicated we were on the correct road. When we arrived in Lincoln city it was still to early to go to our bungalow, so we headed to the beach. Got out of the car and realized that we were not dressed for the weather. It was a little overcast and only about 65 degrees with gale force winds. Well, maybe not gale force, but very strong and cold...... We grabbed our sweatshirts out of our suitcases and did a little wandering on the beach. However the girls got cold and thought that it would be a good day to go shopping. So we jumped into the car and headed down the street to the Outlet Mall, where we shopped 'til we dropped. This is our cute little bungalow that we rented. It had two bedrooms (behind the girls), a little kitchen to the left of the girls. A bathroom to the right. Here are the girls, chillin' in the living room. Recooping from their shopping experience. I took this picture of the sunset from our living room window. We had a really nice view from there. Also, we had a deck with a beautiful view and a hot tub that the girls used every night. I'm out of time for tonight, so will post the rest of the trip tomorrow. I wanted to post as we went but we didn't have any WIFI.
