On Sunday morning last summer Dana was down the hillside working when he noticed a cat sitting on the fence.  He headed over toward it but realized it was way to big to be a house cat.  He came into the house to tell me about it and I grabbed the camera and headed out. Is it beautiful?! Love where we live! Love you all ~~Mitzi

2016 ARIVES We start the New Year off with the annual Jones bowling event.  We converge on 21st Century lanes at the opening of their day.  Taking 8 lanes (4 for the adults and 4 for the kiddos) we add our organized chaos to the establishment.  Some rent shoes, others had their own. Then the hunt begins for the perfect ball.  One that isn't to heavy but will allow your fingers to come out.  The competitive bowlers of the group polish up their own balls and prepare to crush the competition.  However this isn't your usual bowling game format.  I'll try to explain how we do this...... Each girl is assigned to al lane, but the guys are left to move around.  So we start by pairing a guy to a girl.  The girl throws the first ball, then the guy has to pick up what she left.  If by chance she gets a strike, the guy gets to go first the next frame and the girl has to pick up what's left.  At the end of the game we r...

My how time flies... I don't know where the time has gone, but it will be hard to try to catch up, so I'll just make a New Year's resolution to post at least once a week in 2016. Recap of 2015 It was not the year of the dog for us, we lost 3 of our loved pets.  Mo, Mia and Opi. In October I quite my job at Supervalu after 14 years and 11 months. Started a new journey with The Amalgamated Sugar Company LLC as an IT Project Manager. Tori and Chad bought a new home.  (Yea, we don't have to move them for awhile) Bought season Football tickets for BSU for myself and Dad (Ron). All of us had a healthy year. Knock on wood it continues. With the loss of the dogs, Simba now thinks he owns the whole house. Tori and Chad got a new border collie puppy ~ Kona.  She is very smart and learning fast. OH, OH...I almost forgot the biggest item of all.  Tori, Chad, Cathy (Chad's Mom) and I went to Germany, Austria and Switzerland for three week in M...

Mint Sugar Scrub

Image
I needed Christmas gift ideas for my co-workers and I didn’t want to do any food gifts (too many on special diets) J   So, was surfing Pinterest to get inspired and came across this very cute sugar scrub. L-O-V-E sugar scrub and I’m currently very attracted to mint green.   Sent the pin to Tori to see if she wanted to make these with me for her co-workers too.   Funny, she had pinned the same thing…..great minds!!!!   (Click  here to go to original site for instructions) We planned an evening to make these, picked up what was needed.   All ready to dive in. Directions called for 1 TBS of peppermint extract, wow that seemed like a lot.   It ended up we didn’t have enough extract, so we put everything on hold, jumped in the car to run to the nearest store.   NO peppermint extract, ran to the next nearest store, NO, not again…….NO peppermint extract.   December is probably the only month of the year that the grocery stores run o...

New Printable

Image
It's been awhile since I made a new printable, so I was inspired to make one tonight.  Things have been crazy at work, my boss is quitting our team and going to another team.  They are going to fill the position but they probably won't have anyone until the end of August.  To top it off they want them to be in Minnesota, not sure why when the whole team is here in Boise.  But who can figure out their thought process.  In the meantime, I get to do two peoples job.  So I need this ........ Last week my nephew Zach graduated from High School.     My, how time flies. As I sit here staring at this picture trying to think of something profound to say, the words just won't come to me.  I just keep seeing a slide show in my head of little Zach and his growing up. So instead of writing something witty (which I probably couldn't do), I'm just going to go through the archives and share some of those moments.   Trip down Memory Lane!         Celebration Time!!!!!! I wish him all that his heart desires for his future. Love you all ~~Mitzi
