WOW Senior Prom............

What an event!

Here are the pictures of the Prom.



You probably noticed that she isn't wearing the purple dress that I gave you a sneak preview of. Well there is a story behind that. We had a small disaster. Tori was going to Kristen's apartment to get ready and the boys were all picking them up there. I was going to meet them at the train depot at 6:15 to take pictures. I was driving to the train depot when I get a frantic phone call from Tori about something being all over her dress. Obviously I couldn't do anything about it on the phone, so I told her I would go home and pick up her last year's prom dress and bring it to Kristen's. I could see if we could fix her new dress, but if not she could wear this one. When I got there, sure enough she has black spots all over the front of her dress. They look like dark grease stains. We had no idea how they got there. It looks like it rubbed up against something but it was in plastic and there isn't any grease on the plastic. As you can see from the sneak preview pictures they aren't there, but they are now. We are hoping that the cleaners will be able to get it out.

Other than the dress issue, we were able to get some pictures and they were off to PF Changs for dinner. All said and done they had a good time. Whew................

Back to school

I can't believe that summer is over. It has gone so fast. We just put the Fair to bed for another year. It's always a lot of work, but for some reason it holds some excitement. August has been very eventful for us. Tori turned 18. Holy Moly!!! Now she's an adult. She started classes last week at BSU. I think they went pretty well. She had some quizzes this week already. Got A's on them so that helps with getting to relax a little. She was pretty anxious about starting. We gave her a shopping spree for her birthday, so we went to the mall today. Got her some cute outfits. Alex leaves tomorrow for his retreat to kick off his new school. They go to McCall for three days, then he gets a 5 day weekend before classes starts on the 8th. I think he is pretty excited. He just spend the last two weeks working every day for Granny and Pappa. I think we are going to use the money to get him a laptop. I think he did a great job for them. Confession Time

At the start of January, I made a decision to enter the Humphrey's Diabetic $10,000 weight loss challenge. It runs until June 17th and the women and man who loses the highest percentage weight loss will win $3,000, second place is $1,500 and third place is $500. To stay qualified you need to weigh in once a month. Saturday was my first month's weight in. I was hoping for 10lbs, but I'll take 6.2. If I can get to my goal weight that will be a 28% loss. The lady who won last year had a 31% loss. There were a lot of people that were there to sign up and some were very large so I know I have my work cut out for me, but I love a challenge. Prom

It is Prom Night ~ It all started two weeks ago when Lodge (his real name is Andrew Lodge but Tori just calls him Lodge) unofficially ask Tori to go to Prom. As it turns out Boise and Timberline's Prom is on the same night (Lodge goes to THS). So they are just going to THS's prom. The shopping for a dress began. Lodge gave Tori a list of colors he would not wear (he wanted to match his Tux to her dress). We finally found the perfect dress. Finally this week we got the official invitation, a box of rose petals, rose and a note. Then we had to give him an answer, so we went to Petco and bought a Beta fish and bowl. She made a sign to put on the fish bowl that said "It will be a SPLASH to go to Prom with you" and we delivered it to his house while he was at work. I treated her to getting her hair and makeup done. Lodge picked her up at 5:00, here they are exchanging flowers. Took some pictures and then they were off to Lodge's house for more pictures.
