Arm update

Image
Well here is an arm update. We saw the Orthopedic surgeon last Thursday and everything looked good. Nothing had shifted, so he said she could have a short cast (below the elbow). I took these pictures after they took the splint off and before they put the cast on. It wasn't quite as colorful as I expected it would be. Of course she choose Hot Pink for her cast. They are going to xray it one more time this week then she is good until the end, which will be 4 more weeks. Oh yeah, the doc said no more soccer until the cast comes off. He's afraid if she should fall again it will break the arm above the cast.

......Will break my bones...........as will mean girls on the soccer field............as Tori learned on Saturday. Here we were having such a great weekend. Graduation party on Friday night. It was so great seeing friends an family. Check out all the pictures on http://mitzpicz.shutterfly.com/ . Went out to have breakfast at Rocco's with Toni, Gerry and Keri Saturday morning. Was all excited to play in our soccer game. Dana and Alex came to the game and everything. Started the game, I had two really close shot on goal. But about 15 minutes into the first half, Tori went up against a girl and won the ball but the girl threw her arm and sent Tori airborne. She came down on her right side and slide into the wall. Somewhere in all this she broke her left wrist. So we spend the rest of Saturday night at the hospital...... Some fun....... Took these pictures with my phone. We had to get the IV. Getting the IV put in was probably the most tramatic part of the whole event. See the big...

The Boise High School Graduate Victoria Alyson Lewis I'm really not sure what to say. It has been a very hard week watching my baby girl move from adolesence into the adult world. It was an emotional night watching her walk across that stage. So many thought and pictures flashed through my head. I saw her standing in the line on the playground the first day of kindergarten, I saw her walking through the halls at East Jr High on orienatation day, giggling and laughing with her friends. I saw years and years of soccer games, basketball games, orchastra concerts, school dances, sleep overs, selling girl scout cookies. It is so overwhelming at times. I have loved and appreciated all the aspects of her growing up. Part of me is sad that it over so quickly but on the other hand new doors are opening and new experiences are awaiting us. So it time to close this chapter and move on. So come join us tomorrow Friday 6/5 to celebrate the closer of this part of her life and the opening of a w...
