Lewis Scuttlebutt

Here is this weeks soccer update. On Monday we played Meridian at home. Unfortunately for Meridian the new high school took most of their good players. We had a easy win of 6-2. On Wednesday we played Mtn. View. This wasn't as easy but we were able to pull off a win 4-2. Potty break time They asked me to take pictures and put together the slide show for the banquet at the end of the season. Since then I've been very focused on taking all the girls which has caused me to not take as many pictures my own daughter. Here are some action pictures that I took of the other girls. Just wanted to share them. I love to take pictures and could use the practice, so if anyone wants me to come take pictures for them just let me know. I would love to.

Our dog Mia is such a goofy dog. I took her outside to do her thing. While we were out, Tori and Dana was taking the golf clubs out of Tori's trunk and getting ready to put in the tent for her camping trip tomorrow with the Soccer team. Mia decided that she wanted to go for a ride, so she jumped into the trunk. It took some convincing and some pulling to get her to get out. She tried really hard to get Tori to take her for a ride.

On Tuesday we played Centennial and ended up losing 3-2. It was a tough game, but we didn't play as good as we could have. On Wednesday we played Eagle and ending 0-0 tie. We played much better but still struggled with the turf. Tori had a very good game. At the end of each game the coach gives out 3 stars and Tori got the #1 star for her tough defense. He said she played a perfect games. I have a really hard time with close games because I get spectating and forget to take pictures. Didn't get any pictures of Tori playing. There was an injury on the field so they all came over for a water break. This week we have Meridian and Mtn View on Monday and Wednesday.

Labor Day weekend was verrrry busy. Dana and I went out shopping for a new Car. After spending all day on Saturday we drove away in our new '08 Hyundai Elantra. It is smaller than the Concorde and very fun to drive. I'm looking foward to the gas savings.

Boise beats Captial 2-1. Capital's goal was on PK. Boise didn't really play as well as they could so there is room for improvement. Here are a few pictures of Tori. The girl Tori is going up against in this picture is Nicole Jorgensen, she played on Tori's team when she was on Les Bois's team. She is a good friend of Tori's. We play Centennial on Tuesday.

Tori played Caldwell on Monday night and easily beat them 7 - 0. It was the typical physical game that always is with Caldwell. Tori got good playing time, she played half of the first half and all the second half. She's playing defense and did some nice things. She did some 'oops' as well. Here is her schedule, Boise's home fields is the soccer field at Willow Lane Complex. The District and State Tournaments follow league. I'll post them when we know for sure what the games times are. High school soccer started today. Tori is playing Varsity soccer for Boise High School and her cousin Justine is playing for Borah High. Our opening game today was against Borah, so Tori and Justine got to go up against each other. Boise won 5-0. The girls had fun playing against each other. Tori is #16 in the red uniform. Justine is #18 in the green uniform. Her next game is Monday 8/25 at home against Capital. GO BRAVES!!!!!
